Hermosa Sterling is structured differently as a
company with our "downlines" than most other home show / direct sales
companies. We do not have the common "pyramid" type of structure that
most of these other companies have - paying multiple levels of "downline
commission". Hermosa Sterling pays commission only on those that you would
directly recruit. You may sign up multiple people and collect commission on
these women, but you would not receive commissions on their
"downlines" that they would sign up.
When we originally structured the company, we found that by having to pay
multiple - level downline commissions (or a pyramid type of structure), we
would have had to drastically raise the prices of our jewelry to cover these
costs. Our goal at Hermosa Sterling is to minimally mark up the jewelry in
fairness to our customers!
How long have you been with this company?
Hermosa Sterling was initiated in 2004, however we just entered the "direct sales" market late 2006.
What are the sales quotas?
No sales quotas - however to maintain "active
status" with Hermosa Sterling, you would need to hold ONE qualified show
($200) every 4 months - which is so easy to do! "Active Status" just
assures you the ability to purchase with Hermosa Sterling when we offer jewelry
to our sales reps at discounts of 50%. Hermosa Sterling always offers
"new arrival" jewelry to our sales reps at a 50% discount (for a
limited time). If you are "inactive" - you may still purchase
"new arrival" jewelry, but only at the 25% sales rep discount.
We do NOT have a yearly renewal fee.

Please note that in addition to the 2 Jewelry kits offered, we are now offering
women the opportunity to sell Hermosa Sterling without the purchase of any
jewelry! It seemed crazy to not offer this option should someone like to
"try" selling HS; or for women that just do not have the extra money
to purchase a "jewelry kit" up front. The purchase of "business
supplies", for $89.00 will still be required (catalogs, order forms,
etc..) as these are essential to sell HS, however this nominal cost can be
earned back in just one show! The incentive to purchasing a "Kit"
(either #1 or #2) is the added discount offered up front (35% - 50%). I
personally tell all of our reps to invest the least possible. The object is
to make money, not spend it!

With all of this said - should a rep decide NOT to purchase Kit #1 or Kit #2,
but sign on by purchasing just the business supplies, she can still order
jewelry at the normal 25% discount (if she chooses to order any jewelry at
all). The sales rep has the option to sell HS w/o jewelry (hosting catalog
shows) should she choose. She can still be the hostess, earn fast track, as
well as earn sales rep commissions. All other HS policies would apply as they
do for everyone else.
What are the shipping times?
Once an order is submitted to the company - the
order is filled and shipped within 3-5 business days.
Does the company dropship?
Yes, we offer two shipping options:
1. $2.00 flat rate - jewelry is shipped to the hostess (UPS); the hostess
delivers to the customer
2. $5.00 flat rate - jewelry is shipped directly to the customer (first class
postal / delivery confirmation).
What is the commission structure?
We currently offer 25% commission - paid
immediately. We do understand that other companies pay up to 30%, however
many customers MAKING THE SWITCH to Hermosa Sterling as they are recognizing
the great VALUE we offer them and their friends!
We offer a 3% "mentor" commission also for anyone you would
personally recruit........please note however, multi-level compensation does
not exist. Again, when we structured the company, we found that by supporting
a typical MLM / pyramid type of structure - we would have had to drastically
increase our prices - we did not want to do this.
How am I paid?
Checks are made out to the Independent Sales Representative -
payment is immediate. Should you ever have a show that credit card payment
exceeds cash / check payment, Hermosa Sterling will send a check to the
Independent Sales Representative within 1-2 business days.
Are "company websites" available?
At this time we have a company website, but
no personal websites for ISR's (Independent Sales Representatives). We are
reluctant to post pictures and / or give out personal information concerning our
ISR's. It is something that may change in the future and is currently in
discussion.
Can I design my own website?
Yes - but we must approve the content first.
Where can I sell?
Anywhere in the US - however we ask you do not sell on ebay
or ebay type of sites.
Does this company offer fundraisers?
We donate / support certain charities.
This past year, Hermosa Sterling donated to the American Cancer Society and the
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Our sales reps have the opportunity to host shows involving fund raising events
- Hermosa Sterling has no specific affiliation with such personal events.
Are training tools available?
Hermosa Sterling offers bi-monthly phone
conference calls (no charge to our reps). We offer a training manual and
"mentor" support. I am personally always available - best times after
hours at home. We will be working on a DVD in the coming year.
Am I required to hold home parties?
NO, you have the option of selling to
individuals, doing catalog shows - whatever works best for you!

Please assess your goals prior to signing up with us. Most
of our sales reps sell Hermosa Sterling for a "supplemental income"
(without having to work 40 hours / week).
We suggest you take your time and think about how direct sales would work for
you. Show our catalog around to friends and family (who would be interested in
hosting a show for you?). Remember, you do not need to have prior sales
experience - the jewelry sells itself!
