As work at home moms we often forget to take care of ourselves. We're so busy taking care of our business, the family, and our homes that we forget to have some mommy-time. It is very important to take time out for yourself.

This is what I like to do for my mommy-time:
*I like to first lock the bathroom door (don't need any extra visitors!) Turn on some soft music, light a few candles and grab my favorite book. After that, I run a nice hot bath add in some bath oils and just relax.

*My me-time is when everyone is asleep and the house is
silent. I love to catch up on current events by reading the newspaper
and sipping some herbal tea. I also take the opportunity to check in
with some online friends and chat a bit. Another thing I love to do, and
this might sound strange, I sit quietly on the couch and close my eyes
and think about the day and how I can make tomorrow more productive.
This really makes me relaxed.

*Amazingly, I enjoy working and talking to people as my
mommy-time. But whenever I can, I like to send my hubby and the kids
off and out of the house for as long as possible and lounge around
reading a book or working on my scrapbooking or sewing. I love to have lit
candles around also. Their smell helps me to relax. Oh, and taking a
long nap helps too.

*For birthday's, anniversary's, christmas, etc.
I always ask for a gift certificate to a day spa.
If I really need time away, I make a day out of it.
Otherwise, I will just get my nails done or have a massage.
This way, my gift lasts longer.

*My "me time" is in the mornings after everyone is
gone. They are out the door a little after 7a.m.
and I'm free until 9:00. This is when I drink
my coffee, get caught up on email and to do list.
Then I take a nice, hot bath with candles and a
musky scented moisturing body wash. I follow this
up with a great outfit to put on, a quick hair-do
(mine is short) and a little make-up and I'm ready
to take on my day! I know most moms do this at
night but it keeps me awake. I also find this
makes me feel more feminine during my busy days
plus I look and feel wonderful for whoever knocks
on the door :) unexpectedly!

*I squeeze in "mommy" time whenever I can. Each evening
I soak my feet in relazing, soapy, water:) Of course there are two
children in the tub as well! I figure since I have to be there to bath my
children, I might as well enjoy it. I soak my feet while they play.

*I have two children - one is 10 months old and the other
is 2 years old. Both keep me very busy. My favorite mommy time is
waking up in the wee hours of the morning, which is the time when I can
get my own personal things done. I pour myself a cup of coffee and
search the internet for marketing strategies for my online retail store.
Although I complain of lack of sleep, I also need time this time to
myself.

*My favorite mommy time is when my little boy is
asleep, and that time seems to be getting less and
less as he gets older. I finally get to relax
during that time, taking a hot bubble bath is
always nice especially with out him in there
with me.

*When my 2 year old goes down for a nap I love to curl up
with a good book and the dog! We curl up together in a blanket and he
keeps me so nice and warm!
At night, like many others, I love to take a nice warm bath with a book
or magazine, then sit with my husband and watch a movie, or our
favorite shows!

*I have several ways to find "mommy time". I indulge in a
long hot bubble bath and a good book like most of us too. I also am
lucky that both my kids go to school. My youngets only goes for two and a
half hours a day, so during that time when no one is home but me, I
make myself a cup of tea, make myself comfy on the recliner, and watch a
silly movie that will make me laugh, or else go out and rent a movie. I
like to watch "chick flicks" when I'm home alone. That way I have peace
and quiet and I don't have to worry about anyone complaining about the
movie. I also enjoy going to the library and book stores just to glance
through the books. In the warm weather I love to take a walk around a
small lake we have near by. Best of all, once a month, I meet two of my
friends at the diner down the street for coffee and chit chat. Last
time we met we were there for three and a half hours! It was great!!!

full hour or hour and a half body massage at the local day spa. It is

in a while, it will rejuvinate your soul.
