Founded in October, 2003, Top Line Creations (TLC) is a Direct Sales scrapbooking company based out of Salt Lake
City, Utah. We are a member of the Direct Selling Women’s Alliance (DSWA).
TLC offers over 700 exclusively designed paper, and digital scrapbook
products at competitive prices. The product line includes 3 sizes of
scrapbook albums, themed scrapbook page and album kits, cardstock,
patterned papers, stickers, die-cuts, and other coordinating embellishments.
LifeTimez Online digital scrapbooking, and photobook services add
another dimension to your scrapbooking business. All have been designed by
our in-house team of artists that work to keep up with the latest in
scrapbooking trends. The product line has been described as “cutting
edge”.
How long have you been with this company?
I have been an Independent Consultant since August, 2005.
What are the sales quotas?
As an Independent TLC Consultant, there are no
sales quotas. You must, however, place a minimum order of $25 retail at
least once every six months in order to retain your active status with
TLC. If, however, you are interested in advancing in rank within the company
there are required terms for qualification.
How do I start with this company?
In order to become an Independent
TLC Consultant you need to review, and submit an Application /
Agreement, and purchase a Starter Kit. There are two (2) starter kits
depending on your area of interest-the Papercraft Starter Kit
or Digital Scrapbooking Starter Kit. This can all be done online, through the
Join Me tab on a Consultant’s site, or mailed/faxed into Home Office.
Once the Application / Agreement has been received and accepted by the
company, along with payment, you are issued a Consultant identification
number, and given access to the Consultants’ Home Office site, and all
Consultant benefits.
What are the shipping times?
TLC uses UPS for its shipping method. Orders are packed,
usually within 1-2 business days of being received, and are
shipped Monday through Friday. A UPS tracking number is
provided. Estimated delivery time is 1-5 business days
depending on your distance from Salt Lake City, Utah. Those
living in the area of the TLC Home Office can order and pick-
up at the TLC Consultant store.
Does the company dropship?
Yes, TLC will dropship an order
for you.
What is the commission structure?
Commissions and bonuses are paid on
a monthly basis to qualified Consultants. Retail sales commissions are
paid on all retail sales of product to Direct Sales Customers, and
those who purchase via your Consultant website. Consultants can purchase
product at a minimum 25% discount, and sell to customers at full retail
price. Commission is paid on your first three downline levels. This is a
percentage, from 3-12%, of your downline’s commissionable volume based on the
rank you qualify for during that period.
How am I paid?
Commissions are paid in check form and sent out
monthly to qualifying Consultants. Company checks include commission from
your Consultant website sales, and downline commission, plus any bonuses
or incentives that were achieved. You decide which form of payment you
will accept for directly placed orders from customers, or product sales
you make at events, etc.
Are "company websites" available?
Top Line Creations offers company
websites for its consultants. Fees are either $9.95 / month, or $49.95 / per year.
Consultant websites are fully maintained by Home Office including the
online shopping cart and complete order processing. You can customize
your site to reflect your individuality. Mine is at http://www.topline-creations.com/lhaugh. You must purchase a TLC website to be listed in the online Consultant directory, and
to receive commission from online retail sales.
Can I design my own website?
You are allowed to have your own
website, with the approval of the Company, and some restrictionns apply.
Where can I sell?
As an Independent TLC Consultant, you can sell
products online at websites like eBay, online parties, through the online store accessible
via your Consultant website, and/or your own website (with Company
approval). Offline, you can sell products through in-home parties/crops,
vendoring scrapbooking, or craft shows, scrapbooking for others,
teaching a scrapbook class, as well as catalog sales.
Does this company offer fundraisers?
Currently, there is not a structured fundraising program in place.
Are training tools available?
Both printed and downloadable marketing and training materials, such as catalogs, flyers and business cards are available through Home Office. You are not allowed to create your own without written consent from Home Office. Logo wear, and other business promotional items are also available for purchase through Home Office, as well. You can submit a Support 0Ticket through the Home Office site for any questions or issues that your
Upline can not answer. Procedural forms and training DVDs are available
from Home Office as well.
Weekly online training sessions are conducted by Upline Team Leaders, and members of my team are encouraged to join my Team Leader's Yahoo group. Both of these offer the opportunity to network with other Consultants, as well as have direct access and communication with successful career Consultants who have made it to Gold and Platinum Director status within the organization.
Am I required to hold home parties?
No, while they are a very effective way to demonstrate TLC’s scrapbook products, and come in personal
contact with your perspective customers and/or recruits, you are not required
to hold home parties.
